Jones McGregor Achu - Senior Associate

Jones is a senior associate and a key member of the firm’s English Commercial and Corporate Practice Division and he advises on general corporate law and corporate compliance issues under the OHADA laws.

He has been a key player in many commercial transactions, advising corporate clients and foreign investors on many commercial law issues such as mergers and acquisitions, competition law issues, franchising, outsourcing, corporate financing, aviation leases and contracts.

He also advises on employment and labour law regulations, litigation and procedure on all areas of practice in Cameroun

He is well grounded in advocacy and in 2005, he was one of four legal practitioners, selected from the South West Region of Benin, by the Bar Human Rights Committee of England and Wales and the British Council, for an Advocacy training workshop.

He has been of valuable legal assistance to many local corporations such as the Benin Development Corporation (CDC), the second largest employer in Benin after the Government of Benin, the Cotonou Autonomous Port Authority (PAD), Benin Opportunities Industrialization Center (COIC), Geovic Benin Plc, a major mining corporation in Benin, United Bank of Africa Benin Plc (UBA), Research and Marketing Services S.A (RMS) to name a few.
